Luxury resort to close
An NZPA report says that one of New Zealand’s most luxurious resorts, the Lodge at Paratiho Farms, is to close its doors at the end of March.
Owned by American Sally Hunt and her late husband Robert, it was put on the market in September as a going concern or as a private home.
The lodge, an 809-hectare farm, chattels and some of the art collection housed there are for sale for $22 million.
About 35 staff would be offered redundancy when the lodge, at Ngatimoti, southwest of Motueka, closed on March 31.
