The former Royal Scottish Automobile Club in Glasgow has been transformed into a luxurious five star hotel a year later than originally planned.
A £25 million redevelopment has seen the building become Blythswood Square.
The work carried out by boutique hotel group, The Town House Collection.
The 100-room property joins four hotels in Edinburgh – The Bonham, Channings, The Howard and The Edinburgh Residence – owned by the company.
Chairman Peter Taylor said: “Our aim was to capture the glamour of a bygone era whilst showcasing the latest in designer styling as befits this vibrant and sociable city.
“Like all projects of this nature the plan tends to change and evolve once it gets started.
“We are opening around 12 months later than originally planned with the first of a three phase opening which will run into the new year.”
The hotel will include six suites and a top floor penthouse with rooftop hot tub. Other features include a spa opening next year offering indigenous Scottish treatments, a restaurant, bars, a private screening room and event facilities.
The property is incorporating renewable energy technologies to achieve reduced carbon emissions.
