Luxury tour operator launches its own Air Travel Trust
A luxury tour operator has launched its own Air Travel Trust, claiming it will give double protection to its customers on all package and flight only bookings.
Destinology has launched the protection in response to the 13 UK travel company collapses in 2010 to date.
Offered free to all customers and independently administered by Barclays Bank Trust Company Limited, all ATOL related customer money is being placed in a Trust account, which guarantees a 100% refund in the event that a supplier collapses.
The Trust covers all bookings made with Destinology for package or flight only holidays, whether customers travel by low cost, charter or scheduled airline.
The company said there are no loopholes and every aspect of the holiday will be covered, from accommodation to car hire.
Dominic Speakman, founder and CEO of Destinology, said: “We believe that safeguarding our customers’ money is paramount and that our Trust offers the security and peace of mind our customers deserve.”
