Madame Tussauds salutes China’s leaders
HONG KONG – In celebration of HKSAR’s 10th anniversary, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is launching a special exhibition: Chinese Leaders & Heroes.
Featured in the permanent exhibition will be six of China’s most renowned individuals – Dr Sun Yat-Sen, Mao Zedong, Zhou EnLai, Deng Xiaoping, Wen Jiabao, and pioneer astronaut Yang Liwei.
Nick Varney, chief executive of the Merlin Entertainments Group, the world’s second largest visitor attraction operator, and owner of Madame Tussauds, along with a representative from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, will unveil the wax figures at Hong Kong’s Peak Tower today.
