Magnitude 7 earthquake hits Turkey and Greece
A magnitude 7 earthquake has hit Turkey and Greece, with reports tremors have been felt across the region.
The epicentre of the quake was in the Aegean Sea, about 11 miles off the coast of Izmir, Turkey, north of the Greek island of Samos.
A number of buildings have been destroyed in the earthquake, which was felt as far apart as Istanbul, the eastern Greek islands and Athens.
There are fears the earthquake could lead to a tsunami, according to reports.
