YPL Exhibitions who organise the annual Group Leisure & Travel Trade Show (GLTT), have confirmed that trade association ABTA have given their support for this year’s presentation in September by becoming an official partner of the show.

This follows on from the recent announcement that quality assurance coach specialists, The Guild of British Coach Operators, has become an official show partner and the organisers say they will be confirming other arrangements with key industry bodies in the near future.

David Marshall, ABTA’s Head of Policy and Communications said: “ABTA is delighted to be associated with this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Trade Show.  It gives us a great platform to showcase our services and to meet a good cross-section of the industry at what promises to be a lively and informative event.”

The GLTT takes place on 24th-25th September 2008 as the biggest and longest established travel trade show at the NEC. Free registration to visit is now open and trade visitors can either register at www.leisureshow.com or contact the visitor hotline for more information: 0845 218 7262.

Organiser Emma Cash said: “There will be around 250 exhibitors at the show, all eager to promote new ideas, services and products to the industry. Leading attractions, destinations and operators as well as transport and accommodation suppliers will all be there, allowing group travel organisers, coach operators and the wider travel trade to consider and plan new varied travel schedules”.

There are also added incentives to visit the show including a free bacon butty available to all visitors and exhibitors before 11am and free afternoon cream tea available during the last hour of the show.

Busy planners can use the free internet centre and also enjoy the stage entertainment from exhibitors, including the chance to Ask the Experts which returns to the stage on 25th September. In conjunction with The Guild of British Coach Operators, there is free coach transport available to the show from various locations across the UK, details of which can be found at the exhibition website or by contacting the booking line on 0845 612 6224.

Free parking is also available to bona fide group travel organisers, coach operators and members of the travel trade who pre-register and attend the exhibition. Attendees to the show who pre-register before the event are also entered into a prize draw to win a weekend break to Prague for two, courtesy of Success Tours.

For more information on this trip and general information on the show, visit www.leisureshow.com.  The exhibition is now 90% sold and those companies interested in exhibiting should contact Sharon Yandell on [email protected] or call 01908 613323.
