Major operators to attend France 2002 workshop
With tour operators predicting strong bookings for France this summer, some 200 representatives from the key players are expected to attend Maison de la France’s trade workshop, France 2002.
The event, which takes place every two years, will be held in St Helier in Jersey from 16-17 April. Major operators to France including Cresta Holidays, Keycamp, French Life, Travelscene and Crystal Holidays will be discussing ways of developing the market with 120 French exhibitors representing tourist offices, hotels, transport partners and theme parks from around the country.
The award categories for France 2002, voted for by a jury drawn up from members of the travel trade, include Best Tour Operator, Best Short Break Programme, Best Brochure and Best Golf Programme. French Life won The Best Tour Operator at the 2000 event.
According to Christian Lepage, UK Director of Maison de la France: “We introduced the awards in 1999 to show our support for the travel professionals who programme France. The first workshop took place more than twenty years ago, and it remains one of the most important fixtures in the industry calendar for everyone with an interest in France.”
