United Airlines’ new “p.s. (SM) premium service offering passengers more space and comfort while traveling between New York and California got underway.

Once fully rolled out, the airline’s new service will operate seven daily round trip flights between LAX and JFK and six between JFK and San Francisco International Airport.

“United’s new p.s. service offers our customers something they told us they want and nobody else can match today,” said Martin White, senior vice president-marketing, United.

Among amenities are adapter-free 110-volt power outlets, phone and e-mail in every seat. There’s also premium onboard entertainment that includes hand-held DVD players and noise-reduction headsets for United First and United Business customers.
