Malaysia Airlines has introduced its official Whatsapp service, offering flight booking confirmation and status updates via the messaging app.
The carrier is one of the first to integrate with the Whatsapp Business Solution, and it gives the airline a platform to target a much wider global customer base, says group chief executive officer Izham Ismail.
"The new service will go a long way towards enhancing customer experience for today’s always connected customers," he said.
The Whatsapp service has more than one billion users.
Malaysia Airlines’ Whatsapp integration furthers its digital transformation strategy which saw the launch of digital solutions, MHguardian, MHfeedback and MHchat earlier this year.
