Maldives tourist arrivals up 45 per cent
Tourism numbers to the Maldives have swelled by 45% since the beginning of 2022.
Tourism Ministry data show 210,000 tourists have visited so far this year, significantly up on 2021. The average daily arrivals is nearly 5,000.
Top source market is Russia, with 33,191 arrivals so far this year, followed by the UK with 24,010 arrivals. Tourism Minister Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has set a target of two million tourists this year.
