The Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, the largest retail and entertainment complex in the USA, has appointed Cellet Marketing and PR to publicise its 25th anniversary through a programme of sustained activity to drive bookings and increase brand awareness.
Jill Renslow, Senior Vice President Marketing and Business Development at Mall of America commented: ‘Since its opening in August 1992, the Mall has welcomed 1 billion visitors through its doors to enjoy tax free shopping and entertainment. To celebrate, we are organising a series of events throughout the year culminating in an all-day anniversary party. The UK and Ireland is an important market for us and we will be working closely with Cellet to devise special anniversary packages for the consumer to be sold through the trade.’
Since opening its doors in 1992, Mall of America® has revolutionized the shopping experience with its zero sales tax on clothing and shoes (as well as throughout Minnesota) and become a leader in retail, entertainment and attractions. Mall of America is one of the top tourist destinations in the country with tourists accounting for four out of 10 visitors, as well as one of the most recognizable brands with two on-site hotels, the Radisson Blu and the J W Marriott.
Managing Director of Cellet, Yolanda Fletcher, said: "Cellet launched the MOA to the UK industry 25 years ago, so we are delighted that we have this opportunity of celebrating its 25th Anniversary. We have a number of exciting activities planned, including an agent incentive to win a place on the anniversary fam going to Bloomington in August for the anniversary party."
