Mamma Mia! Abba museum set to open
Tickets for The Abba Museum, scheduled to open in Stockholm on May 7, can now be purchased online.
Mattias Hansson, the managing director at the museum, said the Swedish Office of Tourism in Stockholm receives a huge number of enquiries from tourists seeking out places and experiences that have a connection to Abba, but until now such a place did not exist.
Visitors to the interactive museum will have an opportunity to perform on a live holographic stage while “wearing” projected Abba costumes.
The museum is to be a part of Swedish Music Hall of Fame, located at Djurgarden, Stockholm.
Abba remains Sweden’s most successful band of all time, with sales of 378 million albums around the world.
ABBA The Museum will span the band’s career all the way from the start in 1970, via the breakthrough with Waterloo in 1974, the world tours and finally, the split in 1983.
