Man charged with writing false bomb threat on flight
A 20-year old Utah man was charged after a hand written bomb threat note was found aboard a San Diego-Denver flight.
Cameron Korth faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine after being charged with maliciously conveying false information.
The note was found in the toilet of the United Airlines flight.
Prosecutors say Korth claimed he found the note in the bathroom himself and alerted crew.
After analyzing Korth’s handwriting they ascertained he had written it himself.
Passengers were duly evacuated at DIA while authorities using sniffer dogs searched the aircraft but nothing was found.
