Manchester reveals top long-haul routes
Orlando, New York and Dubai were the three most popular long-haul routes from Manchester Airport last year.
Cancun and Islamabad completed the top five, while the top 10 included Las Vegas, Barbados, Toronto, Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi.
Altogether, the airport handled 27.8 million passengers in the last financial year, half-a-million of whom flew to Orlando.
Manchester Airport’s catcment area of 22 million people spans north to Scotland, south to the Midlands, west to Merseyside and Wales, and east to Yorkshire and covers several counties.
