Mantra moves in after Schappelle

Friday, 20 Feb, 2014 0

The Sentosa Seminyak resort in Bali, temporary home for Australian drug smuggler Schappelle Corby, will join Mantra Group’s Peppers brand in March.

It will be known as Peppers Sentosa Seminyak.

The villa resort, where Corby stayed following her release from a Balinese prison (courtesy of the TV station which picked up the tab), receives very favourable reviews on TripAdvisor.

"Now that Schappelle is going so am I", was one comment left on the site.

It will be the second property for the group in Indonesia, joining the Mantra Nusa Dua, which opened late 2012.

Peppers is Mantra Group’s boutique collection of 28 retreats and resorts across Australia and New Zealand.

Peppers Sentosa Seminyak comprises 49 three, four and five bedroom luxury villas (177 rooms in total), and includes Australian chef Luke Mangan’s on-site signature restaurant, Salt tapas & bar.

Another two Peppers and Mantra properties in Indonesia are expected to be announced in the first half of 2014.
