Marco makes his mark on two more ships
Marco Pierre White is to develop restaurants on two more P&O Cruises ships in addition to new vessel Ventura.
The self-confessed godfather of British cooking and star of TV’s Hell’s Kitchen will create new dining experiences on board family-friendly ships Aurora and Oceana.
Aurora’s Cafe Bordeaux will have a French-style bistro menu while Oceana’s Cafe Jardin is to have Italian inspired dishes in the style of the chef’s Frankie’s Bar & Grill restaurants run with jockey Frankie Dettori.
Both will be available on the ships from September next year following 2008 refits.
Marco said: “The two new menus on Aurora and Oceana will offer passengers completely different dining experiences and both will encompass the best possible ingredients cooked in my unique way.”
He makes his cruise ship debut on £300 million Ventura, which enters service in April, with The White Room, Frankie’s and the Beach House family restaurant.
The line’s managing director Nigel Esdale said: “Marco Pierre White, one of P&O Cruises’ brand icons, adds a unique twist to our passengers’ dining experience. The addition of British icons on board the fleet is an important element adding to the passenger experience.”
