Marriott rewards its members with free wi-fi
Marriott Rewards members can now receive complimentary in-room high-speed Internet access.
The offer applies to JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Renaissance Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott hotels in Asia Pacific, including Australia, China (including Hong Kong), Guam, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
A spokeswoman for Marriott said, “Most hotels charge a premium for internet access, so over a 4- or 5-day business trip this is a considerable saving.
“You can access free wifi almost instantly if you are not a Rewards member by joining before you check into a Marriott hotel.†Marriott Rewards is free to join.
Said Simon Cooper, managing director, Asia Pacific, Marriott International, “You can’t put a price on staying connected. So we don’t.â€
