Marriott signs huge branded residences development in Vietnam
Marriott International is putting its name to what it claims is the world’s largest branded residences project.
It will take shape in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam after the company inked a deal with Vietnam-based real estate firm Masterise Homes.
It will comprise nearly 4,200 residential and ‘officetel’ units branded in two Marriott International brands – JW Marriott and Marriott Hotels.
The integrated mixed-use development is expected to open in 2024.
"The signing underscores the strong appeal of the branded residences segment, especially within the Asia Pacific region," said Paul Foskey, Marriott’s Chief Development Officer, Asia Pacific.
The landmark project will have ‘sophisticated spaces meant to inspire residents’ with hotel-like amenities and on-demand services, it says.
Officetels are hybrid units with both commercial and residential components.
