Marriott signs second Moxy hotel in Australia
Marriott International is adding a second Moxy hotel in Australia.
Moxy Perth is a standalone new build project costing A$35 million and will kick off construction in October.
It is the experimental brand’s second signing in the country.
Moxy Melbourne South Yarra is slated to open in July 2021.
The 150-room Moxy Perth will be situated within walking distance of the city’s CBD, and will feature a self-service Grab-and-Go concept, the Moxy Living Room social space, and a fitness centre.
Currently Moxy has three hotels open in Asia Pacific – Tokyo, Osaka and Bandung, Indonesia.
Globally there are 44 open and a further 100 in the development pipeline.
"Moxy Perth will be an exciting addition to Perth’s accommodation landscape, adding one more option to our growing portfolio of select service brands," said Paul Foskey, Marriott’s chief of development for Asia Pacific.
