Medhotels to help agents improve bottom line.
Accommodation specialist Medhotels.com claims to be enabling agents to improve their bottom line through a new margin management tool.
Medhotels, which is part of the lastminute.com stable, has revamped its site making it easier for agents to use as well as increase profitability.
The new software allows agents to choose between the traditional gross rates or a new variable pricing model.
Group trade director Carl Burrows said: “The margin management tool allows agents to mark-up base rates as they wish, alternatively, if they prefer medhotels will set a default mark-up.”
Burrows added that the software would give agents more flexibility and control of their pricing and margins.
In addition to the new tool medhotels.com has been enhanced with new icons for improved navigation and to make it easier to search for hotels by specific categories such as family-friendly or spa hotels.
The agents’ log-in area has also been improved with search criteria now allowing searches by resort and island.
A resort service button has also been added to the home page and weather, maps and local area information are being added to the section.
Medhotels has also expanded the range of content on the service including city-break product as well as additional accommodation in the Caribbean, the US and Dubai.
Agents interested in the margin management tool should contact their medhotels account manager.
