Meet Puerto Rico appoints new board chairman
MICE organization Meet Puerto Rico has announced the appointment of Peter Hopgood as chairman of the board.
Hospitaity veteran Hopgood has served as vice president of sales and marketing for International Hospitality Enterprises since 2003 and was also director of sales and marketing at Wyndham Puerto Rico.
He has played a key role in rebranding and launching a number of prominent hotels in Puerto Rico, including Doubletree by Hilton San Juan, La Concha Resort, Condado Palm Inn & Suites and the Condado Vanderbilt.
Hopgood has been a board member of Meet Puerto Rico since 2011.
"Meet Puerto Rico is an award-winning, well-respected organization within the global meetings and conventions arena; over the course of its half-century in operation, this institution has successfully positioned Puerto Rico as a world-class destination for meetings and conventions," Hopgood said.
