Acacia Adventure Holidays sets its sights on INDABA 2009
Acacia Adventure Holidays will be exhibiting at South Africa’s trade fair INDABA 2009, in a bid to raise the profile of its tours in Southern Africa.
In January, the tour operator released 30 new itineraries, including overland trips, small group safaris and adventures – 80% of which focus heavily on the region.
Acacia Adventure Holidays has also capitalised on South Africa’s sporting cache. Footballs 4 Fun, a FAIRTRADE organisation that was conceived after the FIFA 2010 announcement features on all the company’s overland tours, and various promotions related to the Indian Premier League will run during April.
Heath Ashcroft, Marketing Manager at Acacia Adventure Holidays comments: “Africa’s largest and most prestigious travel trade exhibition, INDABA will provide valuable networking opportunities, allowing us to showcase our product to new agents, develop ideas and strengthen our ties with the trade in Africa and worldwide.”
“The recession has presented fresh challenges, however, INDABA is a chance for us to invest collectively and address the issues of the economic downturn.”
Acacia Adventure Holidays launched its new website (http://www.acacia-africa.com) in February 2009. One of its main objectives was to provide a wider knowledge base for agents outside of its training sessions. The new portal also comes with an online booking facility.
The world’s third largest travel show, the exhibition will position the tour operator as a serious global player in the African tourism industry. Acacia Adventure Holidays is currently represented in Europe, Australasia, Canada, South East Asia and the US, and the tour operator has offices in South Africa and the UK.
