Meetings & Conference
Two new European conference venues open their doors
In August, UK-based hotel and conference venue group Principal Hayley opened its doors for the first time in Europe. Château St Just in Paris and La Mola in Barcelona are the group’s first European venues.
Château St Just is a dedicated conference and training venue located in Belle Eglise just 45 minutes north of central Paris and combines a historic 17th century château with modern conference buildings, linked by a glass walkway which is flooded with natural daylight.
Set in 42 acres of grounds, this venue has over 2000m2 of meeting space, made up by 30 meeting rooms. The largest capacity is 300 delegates and there’s 150 contemporary bedrooms and a health club.
La Mola is situated on the edge of the St Llorenc de Munt national park, next to the Royal Golf Club and just 30 minutes from the centre of Barcelona. It’s the only venue of its kind in Spain designed specifically for the conference, training and meetings market.
This purpose built venue has 26 meeting rooms 186 bedrooms and a comprehensive spa with 5 hydrotherapy pools, a gym and beauty treatment rooms. Within the grounds of the venue, is also Mas Bonvilars, a historic manor house that can be hired for exclusive parties, cocktail receptions and weddings.
In line with the Principal Hayley commitment to the environment, the venue has been created with sustainability at its core, and in keeping with the environment that surrounds it. The features include a wastewater treatment plant, solar panels and a freecooling system which reduces the need for air conditioning and heating systems.
