MaMaison Riverside Hotel in Prague adds meeting facilities

MaMaison Hotels & Apartments has announced that expansion work at the Riverside Hotel, Prague, is underway. The renovations, which are taking place in the building directly adjacent to the current hotel, will almost double the hotel’s number of rooms from 45 to 81. New flexible conference facilities are also under construction in the hotel courtyard. Expansion work on the hotel began at the end of last year, with completion scheduled for September 2008.

A key part of Riverside’s expansion is the construction of an on-site conference facility in the hotel’s central courtyard. Upon completion, MaMaison Riverside Hotel will be able to host extended conferences, meetings and gatherings for up to 100 delegates at a time.

The facilities have been designed with flexibility in mind. The conference area can be divided by partition walls into three individual rooms, each with its own entrance onto a common foyer, allowing for multiple configurations. The conference facilities can also be accessed from the existing Riverside Breakfast and Meeting Room on the lower ground floor of the hotel, allowing for larger social events of up to 150 people.

“2008 has been a stunningly good year for Riverside thus far,” states JJ Doran, Sales Director for MaMaison Hotels & Apartments. “It looks like getting even better. This expansion announcement comes on top of a triple win for the hotel in the 2008 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards.

“I am eagerly awaiting completion of the expansion works at Riverside,” states Miroslav Bukva, General Manager of MaMaison Riverside Hotel. “There is definitely a sense that Riverside is undergoing its very own mini-renaissance. The doubling of the hotel’s capacity will be great for business, and I know the architects have worked tirelessly to shape the new wing into a close approximation of the existing design.”
