Melia signs two new China hotels
Melia Hotels International has inked agreements for two new hotels in Greater China.
In partnership with Beijing Taiwei Group Holdings Ltd, Melia will introduce the new Melia Arxan Hot-Spring Resort in Inner Mongolia and Melia Qinhan New Town in Xi’an, with both expected to open by 2022.
Arxan is located in northeast Inner Mongolia and is home to several tourist scenic spots. The town is well known for its hot springs.
The hotel will feature 180 rooms, international dining, meeting space and wellness facilities.
The 250-room Melia Qinhan New Town is situated in the Xixian New Area and joins the group’s Gran Meli Xi’an luxury property.

The group has 51 properties open and in development in the Asia Pacific and 11 in China.
