Merseyside travel agency ceases trading
A decades long established Merseyside travel agency has ceased operations.
ABTA member Usher Travel Service in Wallasey, on the Wirral, has closed down after more than six decades.
“After trading as an independent travel agent on Wirral for nearly 64 years, Usher Travel Service Ltd has ceased trading,” it posted on social media.
“The loyal clients, many of whom have become friends will be something the team will miss in our day to day lives.”
“Any clients with forthcoming travel, you will be contacted very shortly for ticket arrangements.”
The company was led by Director Gavin Morton.
ABTA responded with a message to customers.
We are sorry to inform you that Usher Travel Service Ltd trading as Usher Travel Worldchoice ceased trading. We are now treating this company as a financial failure,” it said.
“To ensure your holiday can continue, you will need to contact your tour operator or other principal travel business with whom you have a contract. They should confirm that your booking will continue as normal and they will now be your direct point of contact.”
“If you booked a flight-only with Usher Travel Service Ltd and were issued with a ticket or e-ticket, you will need to contact the airline, but your tickets should be valid for travel,” it added.
