Met Office warns of more snow today
There is a threat of more snow today as the Met Office heightens its weather warnings.
It has put amber warnings of severe weather back in place for many parts of Scotland, East and West Midlands, East of England, North East England, North West England and Yorkshire & Humberside.
Yellow warnings have also been issued for London & South East England, South West England and Wales.
Rain and melting snow are also expected to lead to rising water levels and potential flooding in South West England.
The Met Office warned of up to 10cm of snow spreading from the west, and said people should be prepared for likely disruption particularly to travel.
This is the last snow forecast for the time being with temperatures due to increase over the weekend.
