MGallery Collection unveils its newest flagship property in Bohol, Philippines
MGallery Collection has opened South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao – MGallery Collection. The hotel is a 196-key luxury retreat on the Philippine island of Panglao, its second Philippine property after Admiral Hotel Manila.
Just ten minutes from Bohol-Panglao International Airport and adjacent to UNESCO-designated Bohol Island, the resort immerses guests in a lush coastal landscape where coconut groves meet the turquoise Bohol Sea.
Emphasizing local heritage
The property’s design draws deeply from Bohol heritage. Designers shaped 188 rooms and 8 beachfront villas with natural textures and handcrafted details. Interiors showcase woven banig mats, polished bamboo, and coconut wood, while artisan-made rugs and amenity boxes highlight sustainable local techniques.
Each villa honors a Filipino “Diwata,” or nature deity, and nightly rituals celebrate Sirenna, the mythical sea guardian who inspires the resort’s architecture and oceanfront ceremonies.

Dining reflects the island’s culinary identity. Tiya’s House, a re-imagined ancestral residence, serves inventive Southeast Asian dishes. Manja brings a playful, family-friendly vibe with communal tables, brick-oven pizzas, rotisserie chicken, and tropical fruit mocktails. At UMA, guests dine beneath the stars amid private seafood and fruit market stalls. The beachfront Sirenna Bar offers locally inspired cocktails such as the Lambanog-based Sirenna’s Touch. Bespoke experiences include curated tastings, slow-roasted beach barbecues, and chocolate souvenirs crafted with local chocolate’s makers.
MGallery’s signature “M Moment” invites travelers to connect with local heritage through the centuries-old process of creating Asin Tibuok, Bohol’s rare artisanal salt. Guided by a local craftsperson, guests shape clay pots and harvest salt crystals, taking home a handcrafted souvenir that embodies the island’s spirit.
Wellness and MICE facilities
Wellness is woven into the resort’s philosophy. Lola’s Sanctuary, an open-air spa surrounded by ocean sounds and garden canopy, offers botanical therapies and soulful treatments. Hydroponic gardens, herbal trails, and rice paddies encourage a slower, more mindful pace, complemented by sunrise yoga sessions and a state-of-the-art gym. Guests can also take part in cultural immersions and firelit evening rituals that blend tradition and nature. Children explore Aya’s Jungle, a nature-inspired club designed for creative discovery.
The resort actively supports Bohol Sunshine Home and Trinity Angels Care Home. It helps donate essentials and share meals with the children, underscoring its commitment to community engagement.
For gatherings, South Palms offers various venues. It ranges from the fluid-geometry Acqua Pavilion for 50 guests to the 200-m² Marcela Ballroom and a sweeping 500-m² events lawn with rooftop access. South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao – MGallery Collection delivers an elegant fusion of legend, nature, and contemporary luxury. It creates a coastal sanctuary where Bohol’s culture and modern hospitality meet.
