Miami resort adds meeting space and easier airline ticketing
The Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami started offering guests the chance to print out their boarding passes before they leave for the airport, which is timely because Miami International now schedules more flights than any other airport in the Western Hemisphere.
The Marriott Resort set up computer stations in the lobby for the new free, airline check-in service.
The resort, perhaps best known for its five championship golf courses that include the famed Blue Monster, has over 90,000 square feet of meeting space. The resort is popular for pharmaceutical and medical conventions.
As part of its multi-million dollar renovation, a new $25 million ballroom will open next year. The Legends ballroom will have 60,000 square feet.
“The new $25 million self-contained facility, which features both indoor and outdoor pre-function space, will be highlighted by a state-of-the-art kitchen facility, enabling meeting planners to interact with Doral’s chefs as they prepare menu selections available for each event,” said a spokesman.
