Mile High couple arrested after toilet tryst
A couple was arrested at the weekend for allegedly trying to join the “mile high club” on a Jetstar flight in Queensland.
The Gold Coast Bulletin reported that a 44-year-old Gold Coast man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested on Saturday morning after arriving at Mackay Airport on a flight from Brisbane.
It is alleged the couple were found together in the plane’s toilet.
A Jetstar spokeswoman said the airline did not allow people to enter the toilet “in pairs” and it was normal for anyone doing so to be asked to leave the onboard bathroom by the flight crew.
The man was charged with offensive and disorderly conduct on an aircraft under the Civil Aviation Safety Act.
He was released from custody on bail. The woman was released without charge.
