Military-grade grenade launcher found in passenger’s hand luggage
A passenger attempted to board a flight to Florida with a military grade rocket-propelled grenade launcher.
He was stopped at Lehigh Valley Airport in Allentown, Pennsylvania when the weapon was spotted by officials scanning his hand luggage.
The dismantled weapon had been placed in his bag in several pieces. It was found to be inert and the grenade was a replica. However, no real or replica weapons are permitted on any flights.
The man was released and permitted to catch his flight to Orlando but the items were confiscated.
