Minerva returns after winter upgrade
Swan Hellenic’s Minerva has sailed back into Portsmouth following a multi-million pound winter upgrade programme.
The upgraded ship has an additional 32 balconies, increasing the number of balcony suites to 23% of all cabin accommodation.
It also has a new forward facing observation lounge and bar on the top deck, a dedicated internet lounge, a new outdoor walk round promenade deck and new en-suite facilities in every cabin.
Carrying a maximum of just 350 passengers, Minerva hosts sailings escorted by guest speakers who provide an insight into each port of call.
The ship also features a library of around 5,000 volumes, many written by guest speakers past and present.
The ship will start its 2012 season by offering a series of spring cruises around the Canary Islands, Mediterranean and Black Sea.
