Thai hospitality group Minor Hotels is rebranding the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa to join its Avani brand portfolio.

From November 1, 2016, it will become the AVANI Pattaya Resort & Spa.

The Pattaya property is owned by Minor and was its first ever hotel purchase.

The hotel has 298 guest rooms and suites and focuses on lifestyle and wellness with a swimming pool and Jacuzzi, a health club, floodlit tennis courts and a spa.

"The property is currently undergoing a refurbishment of all its guest rooms and when complete will make a superb addition to AVANI’s growing portfolio of hotels and resorts," said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels.

It becomes the fourth AVANI hotel in Thailand.

Minor currently has a portfolio of more than 150 hotels across its Anantara, AVANI, PER AQUUM, Oaks, Elewana and Tivoli brands in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and South America.
