Moldova drives sustainable tourism with GSTC partnership
The Moldovan Ministry of Culture committed to developing more sustainable tourism.
It signed a partnership with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
It will implement GSTC’s sustainability criteria.
The agreement establishes a framework to develop sustainability.
Located between Romania and Ukraine, Moldova has significant potential to develop sustainable tourism.
It has recently developed wine and rural tourism showcasing its culinary, wine and adventure travel potential.
GSTC’s CEO Randy Durband said, “This commitment will be supported by public and private sectors.”
The Moldovan tourism industry will benefit from GSTC’s expertise and assistance.”
Separately, the National Inbound and Domestic Tourism Association of Moldova became a member of GSTC.
