Monarch extends its Sharm cancellations
Monarch has followed other airlines to cancel all flights to Sharm El Sheikh Airport up to and including January 6, 2016.
It said: "We recognise that the uncertainty over recent weeks has been difficult for our customers and we hope that this change in policy will allow those booked to travel to make alternative arrangements as soon as possible.
"The advice from The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advising customers against all but essential air travel to Sharm El Sheikh Airport remains unchanged."
Customers affected by these cancellations can change a booking to a later date or rebook to another destination on the Monarch network.
Passengers can also request a credit note towards future travel or a refund.
It said the move was to provide some certainty for passengers following discussions with the DfT.
Thomson Airways has also extended the cancellation of UK flights to Sharm el Sheikh to December 9.
So far, Thomas Cook has only cancelled its flight and holiday programme to Sharm el Sheikh up to and including December 10, 2015.
