Mondrian Hotel brand checking in to Singapore
Accor is bringing the luxury lifestyle Mondrian hotel brand to Singapore.
It announced the new build for the Duxton Hill neighbourhood which is scheduled to open in 2023.
Mondrian Singapore will feature 300 guestrooms and suites, as well as a restaurant, a lounge and a rooftop bar.
The new hotel design will incorporate period elements from Singapore’s historic shophouses.
"Mondrian is a natural fit for a global destination like Singapore. The property will provide a cultural hub of food and beverage experiences for locals and travellers alike. Mondrian Singapore will be more than a hotel; it will be a destination," said Chadi Farhat, sbe Chief Operating Officer.
Designed by DP Architects and Studio Carter, Mondrian Singapore will feature a lower three-story building replicating a row of Singapore shophouses.
It will have colonial-style window shutters and accommodation in loft suites.
Additional Mondrian properties are planned for the Dominican Republic, Germany, the Maldives, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Thailand, and Vietnam.
