Monkey business in Malaysia
Travel agents from across Australia got down to ‘monkey’ business on the East coast of Malaysia recently when Club Med Cherating Beach hosted 35 consultants from across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
The luxurious five-star village – which first opened in 1980 as Club Med’s first Asia Pacific property – is now one of Asia’s favourite destinations and was last year presented with the award for Best Five-Star Resort at the 2005/2006 Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards.
Alongside the recently reopened and refurbished Club Med Kani in The Maldives, Cherating Beach is leading the way for the brand’s gradual upscale of resort and image in the Asia Pacific.
Club Med NSW Sales Manager Adam Ferrano and the resort’s friendly GO Team (or ‘gracious organiser’ activities team) with agents from Flight Centre Double Bay and Warringah Mall, The Rocks Travel, Benchmark Travel, Breakaway Travel Club, Walton and James Travel, Jetset Chatswood and Harvey World Travel Cherrybrook, Rhodes and Tuggeranong.
