More Cathay to Australia, N America
HONG KONG – Cathay Pacific have beefed up its services to Australia and the United States.
An additional service to Perth comes alongside the already announced increase between Hong Kong and Melbourne to three flights per day and daily services to Adelaide from October 1.
Additionally, in North America, a second non-stop flight between Hong Kong and New York is being added from November 15, meaning the airline will operate three flights a day to America’s biggest business centre – including the CX888/9 service that flies via Vancouver.
The two direct flights to New York will be operated by Cathay Pacific’s soon-to-arrive fleet of Boeing 777-300ER ultra-longhaul aircraft which all feature a brand new three-class inflight product.
The airline is also adding a second daily service to and from San Francisco from October 18. The new flight will be operated by Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
The Vancouver service has also been boosted recently by adding an additional three flights a week. The extra flights – every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Hong Kong – mean the airline now operates a total of 17 flights to the city every week.
