More Delta Toronto crash lawsuits filed

A raft of new lawsuits have been filed seeking damages for the Delta Air Lines Toronto Airport crash earlier this year.
In February a Bombardier CRJ-900 passenger jet skidded on an icy runway and flipped over, landing on its roof.
Miraculously everyone survived.
Five more lawsuits were filed this week.
The defendants are Delta and regional carrier Endeavor Air, which is the airline that operated the flight on behalf of Delta.
Delta Air Lines denies it is wholly to blame for the incident.
The lawsuits have similar language.
They blame the airlines for ‘failing to appropriately monitor flight conditions on approach, and failing to communicate and react in the cockpit to those flight conditions.’
“The crash occurred due to the gross negligence and recklessness of the Delta and/or Endeavor flight crew.”
The flight was carrying 80 people when it rolled over leaving everyone suspended upside down.
Twenty-one passengers and crew suffered injuries.
Canada’s Transportation Safety Board issued a preliminary accident report but the full cause of the accident may not be known for a year or more.
The report indicated a ‘high rate of descent’ just a couple of seconds before touchdown.
Lawsuits have also been in US courts in Minnesota, Georgia and Texas.
