More jobs to go at British Airways?
Reports suggest that British Airways could be ready to announce thousands more job losses, on top of the 13,000 redundancies it has made over the last two years. According to a report in the Daily Mail, the carrier’s chief executive Rod Eddington has stated in a letter to staff that a new business plan would be implemented early next year. The newspaper says the plan has been brought forward from March because the carrier is “desperate” to cut costs. A spokesman reportedly told the newspaper: “Cost control is a key issue, but any reports on job losses are pure speculation. Rod Eddington is not going to rule anything in or out.”
