More rooms in Phuket

Friday, 17 Oct, 2007 0

Successful negotiations with key hotels in popular areas will see an additional 60 rooms per day added into existing hotel allotments for Royal Orchid Holidays during the coming high season.

THAI’s ROH Director, Khun Serm Phenjati, has announced the additional allotments effective immediately and up until 31 March 2008. “The allotments are based on various room types at a variety of the most popular properties so there are options for all types of travellers whether they be families, singles or couples” said Kn Serm.

“The hotel choices are spread over the 3 different beach areas of Patong – popular for those who want to stay right next to the frenetic activity of shopping, entertainment and nightlife, or the Karon Beach area just south of Patong. The 3rd option is the Bang Tao Bay/Laguna Phuket area at the north of the island. This area is popular with families as the resorts offer an almost unlimited activity list for children and adults alike. The resorts are also well-planned and laid out so even in the busiest season, there’s plenty of space for everyone to share.

Make your plans now to avoid any disappointment in making your hotel choice.”

The list of hotels include :
Patong : Patong Beach, Merlin Beach, Club Andaman, Movenpick or Banthai
Karon : Hilton Phuket Arcadia
Bang Tao : Laguna Beach, Dusit Laguna or Sheraton Grande Laguna

Holidays to Phuket start from $938* per person plus taxes from $286 ex Sydney and Melbourne for a 5 night holiday including airfares, transfers and buffet breakfasts staying at the Amora Beach Resort, Bang Tao or from $1,011* per person plus taxes staying at Patong Beach Resort.

Many hotels in Phuket have also extended their bonus free night offers into November, normally the start of the high season for hotel rates. Take advantage of the pre-high season bonus deals during November and get exceptional value for your Christmas Shopping dollar in Thailand.

THAI’s Royal Orchid Holidays programme is available exclusively to travellers on Thai Airways International. THAI flies 38 times a week from Australia to Thailand including triple-daily from Sydney, daily from Brisbane, 12 times a week from Melbourne and 5 times a week from Perth.

*Conditions apply. Prices are based on low season departures between 01 and 22 November 2007 and based on share twin accommodation. Prices for departures from Brisbane and Perth and for other departures until 31 October and from 23 November until 31 March 2008 are also available on application. Taxes shown are a sample only based on the most direct route travelled but are subject to change depending on the final confirmed flight itinerary. Seats are limited in advertised booking classes so airfare surcharges may apply.
