More speakers lined up for UK Cruise Convention
Complete Cruise Solution sales director Giles Hawke and Royal Caribbean International’s Jo Rzymowska are among new speakers lined up for the 2009 ACE UK Cruise Convention.
Hawke will talk about how to maximise cruise sales and be joined by Andrew Burnham from chartered accountants MacIntyre Hudson. He will share his economic and business expertise, with the whole session dedicated to ensuring delegates get a better understanding of how to grow their business in current difficult economic times.
The latest trends in websites and online activity will be provided by Yahoo’s Tracey Cheffey.
Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss the state of the industry during a convention debate with panellists Kathryn Beadle from Hurtigruten; Sophie Higgins, Crystal Cruises; Lynn Narraway, Carnival Cruise Line and Kenny Picken, Traveltek.
The main conference in Dover on June 17-19 also features Dan Hanrahan from Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises, and Rick Meadows from Holland America Line, as previously reported by TravelMole.
Passenger Shipping Association director Bill Gibbons will reveal the key cruising trends and statistics, combined with the results of latest consumer research.
ACE director Andy Harmer said: “In these challenging times, we wanted the main conference to focus on how the current economic situation will affect the cruise industry and how best to adapt to meet these challenges. This theme will reappear throughout the conference and business sessions providing an invaluable insight into how best to seize the cruise opportunity”.
A Cruise Trade Fair will run throughout the Convention and ship visits will take place each day.
