Mountaineer launches Sri Lanka expedition travel company
Scottish mountaineer Iain Mackay has set up a specialist expedition travel company to Sri Lanka.
Mackay claims Moonstone Expeditions is the first independent expedition travel company dedicated to the destination.
Specialising in trekking, mountain biking and surfing itineraries, the company says it is underpinned by an "ethical approach that gives prominence to respect for the environment and making a contribution to the local economy".
With staff based in Glasgow and in Sri Lanka, Moonstone offers fully guided itineraries of between five and 12 days starting from £649 (excluding flights).
