Movenpick signs two new Vietnam hotels
AccorHotels has announced the signing of two new hotels in Vietnam under its Mövenpick Resort brand.
Mövenpick Resort Van Phong and Mövenpick Resort & Spa Ha Long Bay will add 525 rooms to its portfolio, and are slated to open by late-2021.
The beachfront Mövenpick Resort Van Phong will feature 200 rooms and suites as well as 100 villas
Planned resort amenities include two restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, spa and fitness centre, a ballroom and meeting rooms.
The 325-room Mövenpick Resort & Spa Halong Bay offers two restaurants, and a rooftop pool overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage site of Halong Bay.
The two new additions bring the number of Movenpick properties to nine in Vietnam, including the Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh and Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi.
Parent AccorHotels currently has 28 properties in Vietnam across its diverse brands from economy to luxury.
Thanks to the progressive easing of visa rules, Vietnam is among the fastest-growing inbound tourism markets, with year-on-year increase in international tourist arrivals of 29.1%, according to a UNWTO report.
