MPs invite industry comments on ATOL reform
The travel industry has been invited by MPs to respond to the Government's proposed ATOL reforms.
Written submissions must be made to the Transport Committee by Friday January 20.
The Committee, whose remit is to examine the policies of the Department for Transport, will then quiz transport minister Theresa Villiers on her planned ATOL reforms on Tuesday January 31.
The evidence session is further to the Committee's inquiry into the Government's draft Civil Aviation Bill, which may include clauses on ATOL protection for holidays sold by airlines.
Villiers was expected to make an announcement about ATOL reform this month, but this now seems unlikely before February.
