MSC and Chicco develop joint infant cruising product
Italian childcare brand Chicco has teamed up with MSC Cruises to offer custom-built children’s areas on six new ships on order, along with the use of childcare equipment for young families at sea.
Chicco branded products available for use include strollers, bottle warmers and baby backpacks for shore excursions, and a ‘Baby Globetrotter" printed guide detailing shipboard services and mini-club activities, kids’ menus and advice for stress-free family shore excursions.
Chicco Observatory, the research division of the childcare firm, will also conduct special training for MSC staff responsible for onboard childcare.
"The collaboration improves even more MSC’s family-oriented offers and services and Chicco also embodies exactly that, as well as the ‘made in Italy’ label that both our companies proudly represent," said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises.
Chicco will play an "essential role" in the design of custom built kids’ areas on new ships currently under construction in France and Italy.
