MSC Cruises plans to build Galveston cruise terminal
MSC Cruises plans a Texas expansion with a new Galveston cruise terminal.
MSC is in talks with Galveston officials to build a fourth terminal at the port.
A non-binding memorandum of understanding was signed.
“A new homeport in Galveston represents a big step in our North American expansion,” said Rubén Rodríguez, president of MSC Cruises USA.
Galveston cruise terminal operations generate about $500 million for the local economy.
Rodger Rees, Galveston Wharves CEO said; “Adding MSC would elevate our status as a top US cruise port.”
