MSC Cruises unveiled a host of top family friendly attractions and experiences awaiting guests on upcoming US flagship MSC World America.  They are located at the Harbour, a brand-new outdoor space specially designed for kids and families to play and relax. MSC World America is set to launch in April 2025. The highlight of the ' Family Aventura’ district, The Harbour is a brand-new outdoor park filled with activities, dining and relaxation spaces. The Harbour later transforms into a night time social hub with live music while some kids attractions stay open. Top experiences at The Harbour include: The Harbour Aquapark –The Harbour Aquapark features an impressive range of water slides, plus a fun-filled splash area. It includes a 90-degree vertical drop slide. Jaw Drop @ The Spiral – This is one of the longest dry slides at sea. Jaw Drop takes riders through the jaws of a shark and spirals down 11 decks through the heart of the World Promenade. High Trail Ropes Course – offering an exhilarating two-level ropes course spanning 577sqm. The Harbour Light House – a thematic playground for kids, modelled after the iconic lighthouse at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas. Cliffhanger – This is the only over-water swing ride at sea, featuring four-seat swing towers 50m above the ocean.

MSC Cruises will have a record US presence from next year. The line will homeport seven ships in the US during the winter 2025-2026 season, its most ever. It is adding two more ships for winter next year. They will be based at four US ports and includes MSC Cruises’ debut at Galveston, Texas. “We are delighted to provide our guests more choices than ever before,” MSC Cruises USA president Rubén A. Rodríguez said. The US based fleet will include the new US flagship MSC World America, launching in 2025. The cruise line has been progressively adding more ships to the US market in recent years, and is building a new US headquarters in Miami. Winter 2025-2026 US cruises are open for bookings, and range from three to 11 nights in duration. At PortMiami, MSC Seaside, MSC World America and MSC Divina will sail Bahamas and Caribbean cruises. MSC Seashore and MSC Grandiosa will sail from Port Canaveral. MSC Meraviglia will operate cruises to Florida and the Bahamas departing New York and MSC Seascape will debut at Galveston.

MSC Cruises is expanding its fleetwide kids and family programs this summer. The cruise line unveiled new entertainment and family friendly services. Starting this summer, families onboard MSC Cruises will have more activities and services to choose from, including expanded hours for kids’ clubs and more family game shows.  Brand-new activities include: Extended services for babies from six months and up:  MSC Cruises will offer a dedicated baby care service for babies as young as six months old. Previously, the service could only cater those aged 1 or over. The services are offered in collaboration with Chicco – a long-term MSC Cruises partner. Doremiland Open House and Party: Each day a time slot will be reserved when all Doremiland areas will be open. There will also be a big family party for parents and kids to play together once a cruise. New MSC Original Family Game Shows: After the success of MasterChef at Sea Juniors, Break the Wall and MSC Dance Crew, two new family game shows are now available as part of the family program: "World Quest" a geography-based trivia game and "Caravaggio", a spy game show dedicated to art. Extended Club Hours for teenagers ages 12-17: Club hours are extended for young guests aged 12 to 17 during sea days from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to midnight and every port day from 3pm to midnight. Guinness World Record activities for families now available on multiple ships: After trials of Guinness World Record activities, the programme will now be extended to more ships. Families will have the chance to win prizes. Now available on: MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Seascape, MSC Seashore, MSC Magnifica, MSC Divina, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Grandiosa. A brand new MSC Foundation Day: Families will now have the opportunity every day to take part in exclusive children's activities carried out in collaboration with the MSC Foundation and its long-term partners, to learn more about sustainability initiatives. Corporate Senior Manager Kids Entertainment, Matteo Mancini said: "We host more than 600,000 children and teenagers across our entire fleet every year, and we want to make sure every single one of them disembarks having had the best experience. "

MSC Cruises is expanding its presence at Port Canaveral with a second ship, bringing more seven-night sailings and more short cruises to The Bahamas. The MSC Grandiosa will begin sailing from Port Canaveral in December of 2025, alongside the MSC Seashore. "We are honored that MSC Cruises chose Port Canaveral for the North American debut of their magnificent MSC Grandiosa," said Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO. " “Expanding their homeport fleet at Port Canaveral underscores their confidence in our partnership." Bringing a second ship to Port Canaveral will give MSC Cruises' guests a much wider selection of cruises. MSC Grandiosa will offer alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. Meanwhile, MSC Seashore will sail three- and four-night cruises to Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the line's private island. Rubén A. Rodríguez, President, MSC Cruises USA, said: "The Winter 2025-2026 season will mark our largest presence in the US to date, and our expansion at Port Canaveral is a big part of that."

MSC Cruises’ upcoming new US flagship will offer the line’s largest MSC Yacht Club ‘ship with a ship’ concept in the US market. MSC World America launches in April 2025. The new ship will also be the first to feature seven onboard districts. One of these is the MSC Yacht Club, a secluded sanctuary with 152 luxury suites where guests get personalised service and exclusive spaces. Cristian Comirla, Brand Performance Director, MSC Yacht Club said, "MSC World America will take our MSC Yacht Club product to new heights as the largest in the North American market.” MSC Yacht Club highlights include an expansive sundeck, Multi-room Owner Suites with a separate living and dining area and a spacious private terrace with a hot tub and al fresco dining area. There are also Duplex Suites spanning two decks perfect for families or larger groups. The MSC Yacht Club concept was first introduced in 2008. Yacht Club guests have priority embarkation, a dedicated concierge team, personalised butler service round the clock service and private areas. It is inclusive of a premium beverage package, high-speed internet, thermal spa access and priority access to the ship's entertainment venues. From April 2025, MSC World America will sail to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, which is being updated and ready prior to the ship's launch. Additional amenities include a private beach area featuring sunbeds and cabanas with butler service.

MSC Cruises has unveiled its full program of Caribbean cruises for summer 2024 and winter 2024/2025. Four ships will offer a range of itineraries departing from Miami, New York and Port Canaveral to The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Martinique, Mexico and more. Summer Caribbean cruises range from three to seven nights with two ships based out of PortMiami - MSC Magnifica and MSC Seascape. MSC Meraviglia will set sail from New York on seven-night itineraries with port of calls in Port Canaveral, Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. MSC Seashore offers three to seven-night sailings from Port Canaveral to destinations including Nassau, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Costa Maya and Cozumel. For winter Caribbean cruises, there is a choice of six MSC ships from Miami, New York Port Canaveral and Martinique. Three ships will offer sailings out of PortMiami such as MSC Divina sailing three to four-night itineraries to Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. There are also longer 10-night itineraries to Aruba, Curaçao and Dominican Republic. MSC Seascape will offer seven-night cruises to the Eastern Caribbean including the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, and to the Western Caribbean including  Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Mexico. MSC Seaside will offer seven-night cruises, alternating between the Eastern and Western Caribbean. MSC Meraviglia will homeport this winter in New York, with itineraries of seven-nights to Orlando, Nassau, The Bahamas and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. MSC Seashore will sail from Port Canaveral and MSC Virtuosa from Martinique. MSC World America, MSC Cruises' newest US flagship is set to enter service in April 2025.

MSC Cruises’ upcoming US focused cruise ship will debut a first at sea over-water swing ride. Situated on the top deck of MSC World America, the ‘Cliffhanger’ ride will feature four seats which swing over the side of the ship. It swings out 50 metres above the ocean. It is a first-of-its-kind ride for a cruise ship. Riders will be propelled back and forth over the water. MSC World America, which has been designed for the US cruise market, launches in April 2025 and will sail Caribbean cruises from Miami. The Cliffhanger ride is part of the Family Aventura district, which is one of seven themed zones on the 6,700-guest ship. The LNG powered ship will have its naming ceremony at PortMiami on April 9, 2025. Scheduled Caribbean cruises from Miami will call at private destination Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve as well as Roatan, Cozumel and Puerto Plata.

MSC Cruises new flagship, MSC World America, will feature seven distinct districts highlighting various tailored experiences. Each will feature bars, restaurants, entertainment and leisure facilities. MSC World America, designed for the North American market, enters service in April 2025. Each of the seven districts will have their own atmosphere and distinctive experiences. During her inaugural season, MSC World America will sail Caribbean cruises from Miami on seven-night itineraries with stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve – MSC Cruises' private island destination. The MSC World America's seven districts include:   MSC YACHT CLUB MSC Cruises' ship-within-a-ship experience is open to eligible guests with keycard-only access. It offers an exclusive retreat with personalized service in MSC Yacht Club boasting 24/7 butler service, priority embarkation and exclusive lounge and dining areas. FAMILY AVENTURA Located at the top of the ship, it features The Harbour, a new outdoor park where families can enjoy varied activities, such as a high ropes course and a never before seen at sea attraction that will soon be revealed. Family Aventura is also home to Doremiland, the action-packed kids' area, roller rinks, water slides and a dry slide. AQUA DECK This is home to the ship's two main pools and wellness offerings which transforms at night with high energy parties. ZEN AREA The adults-only Zen Area offers an exclusive haven of relaxation for sunbathing, sipping cocktails and waterside lounging. GALLERIA Located in the central heart of the ship, it houses an array of dining, exclusive shopping, bars, lounges and cafes. THE TERRACES Home to nine restaurants and bars, and a comedy club that also serves as the duelling pianos bar and late-night karaoke. PROMENADE This lively half-covered outdoor promenade is a playground day and night, with lively evening activities, dinner, drinks and more.   Caribbean cruises on MSC World America are available to book now.

MSC Cruises will operate a celebratory short sailing next month when it hosts the naming ceremony for newest flagship MSC World America. It takes place at the new PortMiami terminal.  Guests attending the naming ceremony will be among the first to experience the ship when they set sail on a celebratory sailing. The sailing features an overnight stay at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Events planned there include an evening lighthouse show and beach party. MSC World America will be MSC Cruises' first ship in the US market to be powered by LNG. It becomes the second in the World Class series and has been specially designed to cater to North American guests. Rubén A. Rodríguez, President, MSC Cruises USA, said: " We look forward to seeing her sail out of our state-of-the-art cruise terminal. We are excited to bring our newest and most remarkable ship yet to Miami." MSC Cruises has invested heavily in South Florida, which includes the upcoming $100 million US headquarters in downtown Miami. The PortMiami terminal has a capacity for up to 36,000 guests each day. The terminal will support MSC Cruises' continued growth at PortMiami. Following the naming ceremony, MSC World America will set sail on an inaugural season with alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. They feature calls in Puerto Plata, San Juan, Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico.

  Graham McKenzie engages in a lively discussion with Steve Williams, representing MSC, about the highly anticipated launch of their 2026 Southampton cruises. Williams reveals the strategic decision to launch earlier than usual, driven by feedback from trade partners and the desire to offer diverse itineraries. From short party cruises to scenic routes including Cove, Ireland, and the Icelandic fjords, MSC aims to cater to varied preferences. The interview highlights the overwhelming interest in the new itineraries, underscored by strong initial bookings, while also shedding light on MSC's loyalty program, offering enticing benefits to prospective cruisers.  

Two thirds of MSC Cruises' ships are now equipped with SpaceX's Starlink cruise ship Wi-Fi. It expects the fleet rollout program to be completed by May 2024. The low earth orbit connectivity solution is currently providing faster internet speeds, improved cruise ship Wi-Fi in cabins and public spaces, and reduced latency levels. It also generates lower operational costs for 15 of the line's fleet of 22 ships following bandwidth and data traffic trials in 2022. The first of MSC Cruises' vessels to be equipped with Starlink was MSC Magnifica in December 2022. MSC Cruises has seen onboard bandwidth consumption continue to rise. Starlink will provide MSC Cruises with enough capacity to keep up with the future requirements of its guests, crew and also the technical requirements of its fleet. MSC Cruises' ships currently equipped with Starlink are MSC Divina, MSC Euribia, MSC Fantasia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Lirica, MSC Magnifica, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Orchestra, MSC Poesia, MSC Preziosa, MSC Seascape, MSC Seashore, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview and MSC Virtuosa.  MSC Opera and MSC World Europa will be added this month. The line's other five ships set for Starlink connectivity ahead of the summer 2024 season are MSC Armonia, MSC Bellissima, MSC Musica, MSC Sinfonia and MSC Splendida. EXPLORA I, the first of six luxury ships of MSC Cruises' sister company Explora Journeys, is also equipped with Starlink and EXPLORA II will be fitted when it first sets sail in August 2024. MSC Cruises offers a 'Browse Internet Cruise Package' and a 'Browse & Stream Cruise Package' onboard its fleet that are tailored for its guests to cover the connection and number of devices needed during a sailing.
