The line will homeport seven ships in the US during the winter 2025-2026 season, its most ever. It is adding two more ships for winter next year. They will be based at four US ports and includes MSC Cruises’ debut at Galveston, Texas. “We are delighted to provide our guests more choices than ever before,” MSC Cruises USA president Rubén A. Rodríguez said. The US based fleet will include the new US flagship MSC World America, launching in 2025. The cruise line has been progressively adding more ships to the US market in recent years, and is building a new US headquarters in Miami. Winter 2025-2026 US cruises are open for bookings, and range from three to 11 nights in duration. At PortMiami, MSC Seaside, MSC World America and MSC Divina will sail Bahamas and Caribbean cruises. MSC Seashore and MSC Grandiosa will sail from Port Canaveral. The cruise line unveiled new entertainment and family friendly services. Starting this summer, families onboard MSC Cruises will have more activities and services to choose from, including expanded hours for kids’ clubs and more family game shows. Brand-new activities include: Extended services for babies from six months and up: MSC Cruises will offer a dedicated baby care service for babies as young as six months old. Previously, the service could only cater those aged 1 or over. The services are offered in collaboration with Chicco – a long-term MSC Cruises partner. Doremiland Open House and Party: Each day a time slot will be reserved when all Doremiland areas will be open. There will also be a big family party for parents and kids to play together once a cruise. New MSC Original Family Game Shows: After the success of MasterChef at Sea Juniors, Break the Wall and MSC Dance Crew, two new family game shows are now available as part of the family program: "World Quest" a geography-based trivia game and "Caravaggio", a spy game show dedicated to art. Extended Club Hours for teenagers ages 12-17: Club hours are extended for young guests aged 12 to 17 during sea days from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to midnight and every port day from 3pm to midnight. Guinness World Record activities for families now available on multiple ships: After trials of Guinness World Record activities, the programme will now be extended to more ships. Families will have the chance to win prizes. Now available on: MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Seascape, MSC Seashore, MSC Magnifica, MSC Divina, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Grandiosa. A brand new MSC Foundation Day: Families will now have the opportunity every day to take part in exclusive children's activities carried out in collaboration with the MSC Foundation and its long-term partners, to learn more about sustainability initiatives. Corporate Senior Manager Kids Entertainment, Matteo Mancini said: "We host more than 600,000 children and teenagers across our entire fleet every year, and we want to make sure every single one of them disembarks having had the best experience. The MSC Grandiosa will begin sailing from Port Canaveral in December of 2025, alongside the MSC Seashore. "We are honored that MSC Cruises chose Port Canaveral for the North American debut of their magnificent MSC Grandiosa," said Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO. " “Expanding their homeport fleet at Port Canaveral underscores their confidence in our partnership." Bringing a second ship to Port Canaveral will give MSC Cruises' guests a much wider selection of cruises. MSC Grandiosa will offer alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. Meanwhile, MSC Seashore will sail three- and four-night cruises to Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the line's private island. Rubén A. MSC World America launches in April 2025. The new ship will also be the first to feature seven onboard districts. One of these is the MSC Yacht Club, a secluded sanctuary with 152 luxury suites where guests get personalised service and exclusive spaces. Cristian Comirla, Brand Performance Director, MSC Yacht Club said, "MSC World America will take our MSC Yacht Club product to new heights as the largest in the North American market.” MSC Yacht Club highlights include an expansive sundeck, Multi-room Owner Suites with a separate living and dining area and a spacious private terrace with a hot tub and al fresco dining area. There are also Duplex Suites spanning two decks perfect for families or larger groups. The MSC Yacht Club concept was first introduced in 2008. Yacht Club guests have priority embarkation, a dedicated concierge team, personalised butler service round the clock service and private areas. It is inclusive of a premium beverage package, high-speed internet, thermal spa access and priority access to the ship's entertainment venues. From April 2025, MSC World America will sail to Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, which is being updated and ready prior to the ship's launch. Four ships will offer a range of itineraries departing from Miami, New York and Port Canaveral to The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Martinique, Mexico and more. Summer Caribbean cruises range from three to seven nights with two ships based out of PortMiami - MSC Magnifica and MSC Seascape. MSC Meraviglia will set sail from New York on seven-night itineraries with port of calls in Port Canaveral, Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. MSC Seashore offers three to seven-night sailings from Port Canaveral to destinations including Nassau, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Costa Maya and Cozumel. For winter Caribbean cruises, there is a choice of six MSC ships from Miami, New York Port Canaveral and Martinique. Three ships will offer sailings out of PortMiami such as MSC Divina sailing three to four-night itineraries to Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. There are also longer 10-night itineraries to Aruba, Curaçao and Dominican Republic. MSC Seascape will offer seven-night cruises to the Eastern Caribbean including the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, and to the Western Caribbean including Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Mexico. MSC Seaside will offer seven-night cruises, alternating between the Eastern and Western Caribbean. MSC Meraviglia will homeport this winter in New York, with itineraries of seven-nights to Orlando, Nassau, The Bahamas and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. MSC Seashore will sail from Port Canaveral and MSC Virtuosa from Martinique. Situated on the top deck of MSC World America, the ‘Cliffhanger’ ride will feature four seats which swing over the side of the ship. It swings out 50 metres above the ocean. It is a first-of-its-kind ride for a cruise ship. Riders will be propelled back and forth over the water. MSC World America, which has been designed for the US cruise market, launches in April 2025 and will sail Caribbean cruises from Miami. The Cliffhanger ride is part of the Family Aventura district, which is one of seven themed zones on the 6,700-guest ship. The LNG powered ship will have its naming ceremony at PortMiami on April 9, 2025. It takes place at the new PortMiami terminal. Guests attending the naming ceremony will be among the first to experience the ship when they set sail on a celebratory sailing. The sailing features an overnight stay at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Events planned there include an evening lighthouse show and beach party. MSC World America will be MSC Cruises' first ship in the US market to be powered by LNG. It becomes the second in the World Class series and has been specially designed to cater to North American guests. Rubén A. Rodríguez, President, MSC Cruises USA, said: " We look forward to seeing her sail out of our state-of-the-art cruise terminal. We are excited to bring our newest and most remarkable ship yet to Miami." MSC Cruises has invested heavily in South Florida, which includes the upcoming $100 million US headquarters in downtown Miami. The PortMiami terminal has a capacity for up to 36,000 guests each day. The terminal will support MSC Cruises' continued growth at PortMiami. Following the naming ceremony, MSC World America will set sail on an inaugural season with alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. It expects the fleet rollout program to be completed by May 2024. The low earth orbit connectivity solution is currently providing faster internet speeds, improved cruise ship Wi-Fi in cabins and public spaces, and reduced latency levels. It also generates lower operational costs for 15 of the line's fleet of 22 ships following bandwidth and data traffic trials in 2022. The first of MSC Cruises' vessels to be equipped with Starlink was MSC Magnifica in December 2022. MSC Cruises has seen onboard bandwidth consumption continue to rise. Starlink will provide MSC Cruises with enough capacity to keep up with the future requirements of its guests, crew and also the technical requirements of its fleet. MSC Cruises' ships currently equipped with Starlink are MSC Divina, MSC Euribia, MSC Fantasia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Lirica, MSC Magnifica, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Orchestra, MSC Poesia, MSC Preziosa, MSC Seascape, MSC Seashore, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview and MSC Virtuosa. MSC Opera and MSC World Europa will be added this month. The line's other five ships set for Starlink connectivity ahead of the summer 2024 season are MSC Armonia, MSC Bellissima, MSC Musica, MSC Sinfonia and MSC Splendida. EXPLORA I, the first of six luxury ships of MSC Cruises' sister company Explora Journeys, is also equipped with Starlink and EXPLORA II will be fitted when it first sets sail in August 2024.
