Multiple Eurostar trains cancelled due to national strike
Eurostar is to operate a reduced timetable for two days next week due to a nationwide strike in France, which is also likely to affect Air France flights.
The cross-Channel train operator said its services would be affected next Thursday and Friday due to disruption to signalling along all routes.
"As a result, we will now run a reduced timetable on 5 and 6 December," it said.

On Thursday December 5 eight trains from London to Paris and from Paris to London have been cancelled, one train from London to Amsterdam has been axed, one service to Brussels has been ditched and two trains from Brussels to London won’t operate.
On Friday, there are even more cancellations, with a total of 28 train cancellations.
Tickets sales for travel between December 5 and 8 have been suspended as a result of the strike.
Passengers already booked to travel on December 5 and 6 can apply to postpone their journey free of charge. Those whose trains have been cancelled are being offered refunds or a free exchange.
Eurostar is warning passengers due to travel on December 5 and 6 that there will also be major disruption on the Metro service in Paris and also on connecting trains to all destinations in France.
The UK Foreign Office said in an update to its travel advice: "Demonstrations by hauliers on some major roads may also cause delays or blockages.
"Strike action by Air France workers and air traffic controllers may also cause disruption to air travel.
"You should check services before travelling. Additional protests may also be held linked to the yellow vest (gilets jaunes) movement. In all cases, you should avoid demonstrations wherever possible and follow the advice of the local authorities."
