The Marley family officially opened their new, luxury 16-suite Marley Resort & Spa in Nassau. And yes, it is that Marley.
“So many people celebrate my father’s music and see that his message is prolific and still relevant today,” said Stephanie Marley. “They keep his spirit alive. In return, we are inspired to share our piece of paradise here in a place we once called home.”
The resort was once a governor’s mansion. The family used to use it as a summer getaway.
It’s located on the private and secluded stretch of Cable Beach in Nassau.
Each of the 16 themed suites center around Bob Marley’s song titles. Suites feature whirlpool tubs, flat-screen televisions, high-speed internet and in-room Bose entertainment systems.
There’s also a greater than 2-1 staff-to-guest ratio.
Three Royal Suites feature rich mahogany furniture, African prints, hardwood floors, and oceanfront views. One suite, Legend is designed with the popular singer in mind, offering a separate living room, a signature Marley bed, private balcony, hardwood floors and a fully stocked wet bar.
A personal concierge service is available along with in-room dining. A host of excursions – from diving to dolphin encounters – are available. The resort also retains a “love expert,” who helps with wedding, honeymoon and vow-renewal packages.
Rates start at $450 per room, per night based on double occupancy, include continental breakfast and subject to 22% tax and service.
